Art Journal page 6-7 “I want my life to mean something!”

These two pages spread started as one page at first, but in a process I decided to connect and blend two pages in one painted collage by using the same colors and repeating elements. I used acrylic paint, photo print (my face on the painted bird body), magazine clippings, dictionary cut out with the definition, india ink pen, crackle medium, stencil, paint crème, mat medium. Techniques used: paint over technique (on the right page the face is painted with acrylics over the magazine image), crackled paint, stenciling, stamping, and hand writing.

Hi Oksana! Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment. It allowed me to find your wonderful blog. 🙂 You asked about the journal recycled from a cereal box. I haven’t finished mine yet, but I learned it from Alma Stoller in a session of “21 Secrets” workshops. Here is the link to her tutorial for it on utube. Hope it helps! Have fun! Love your paintings and journal pages! 🙂
